Brian, one of the newest residents at ALTA Lofts, loves his new loft - particularly because he never thought that owning in Los Angeles would be a reality. “One day we were just looking, browsing really, downtown when we ran into a Realtor who told us about this great, affordable new loft community east of downtown L.A. My husband, Michael, and I were skeptical and almost didn’t go to view the models. We didn’t believe there was a new loft community where lofts were priced in the $200,000-$300,000s. We’re glad we did, because we love ALTA Lofts and now we live here.”

ALTA Lofts offers FHA financing so buyers can put down as little as 3.5%. “We would have never been able to buy without FHA. Now, we own a new home and we never thought it was possible at this time.”

Most people don’t realize how stylish and cool the lofts really are. ATLA tends to get the WOW factor from people when they walk in. Brian was no different. “I knew I would love ALTA Lofts as soon as I saw a Keith Haring painting hanging in the social room.” – Brian. “When we started looking at all of the different loft layouts, we first fell in love with the penthouses. Then, we looked at a two-level with outdoor space on the first floor and we knew it was the perfect space that we wanted.”

“I cannot believe how much space we got for the price! For years, we shopped around in Venice and in West Hollywood, but it’s a joke how small and overpriced the lofts are in those areas. Honestly, I don’t understand why people aren’t crashing down the doors to buy at ALTA Lofts. What you get for the money is just incredible” – Brian. “We love our loft. It’s the perfect space for us.”

Brian also loves the area. “It feels like New York without the weather! It’s got that cool industrial vibe. We even take the Metro Gold Line. It’s just a two minute walk from us. It’s great. In just a few minutes we are downtown and we don’t have to drive or park.”

What a great exhibition! Over 300 people showed up to the Paint Factory Art Exhibition at ATLA Lofts on March 12^th. Because of its success – The Paint Factory has been extend through April 2nd. So, if you missed it, there is still time to come and check it out, and even buy some of the art.

This exhibition was such a landmark show for LA Street Art and the city of Los Angeles. Like we have mentioned, LA is and always has been like a Paint Factory for street artists. With hundreds of artists producing high quality work, our city has had a dramatic influence on art throughout world.

ALTA Lofts loved hosting this incredible art show, not only because it was a truly amazing event, but because it gave ALTA Lofts a chance to showcase talent in what we believe to be a perfect back drop for such an event. ALTA Lofts’ original structure was once the Fuller Paint building. It has been converted into edgy, raw lofts. Now it is a vibrant, creative home to many.

We would also like to thank dublab for adding an extra hint of cool, spinning at the show. Nothing beats a dublab groove.

There is still time to view and purchase featured work on canvas by some of LA’s most influential young artists. Art can be viewed at ALTA Lofts on Wednesday through Sunday from 12 noon - 5pm. Representatives from I.C.U. will be there to showcase available art by Axis, Swank, Cre8, Robbie Conal ,Keo, Juan Carlos Muñoz Hernandez, Dytch, Putos, ManOne, Relic, Toons, Vyal, Duce, Sen, Steven Lopez, Rick Ordonez, TazRock, Risk, Mear, Sand, Sonji, Tyre, Miner and others. Risk limited edition prints are are still available and can be customized.

Meet Cre8

Eric “Cre8” Walker is a graffiti writer, muralist, illustrator and arts instructor based out of South Central Los Angeles. Cre8’s letters have classic feel to them and range from highly complex and difficult to decipher ‘Wildstyle’ compositions to clean highly readable sign style lettering and clean ‘hand styles’.

Heavily influenced by all the elements of Hip Hop, Cre8 is a skilled b-boy as well as a graff writer. An accomplished fine artist, Cre8 has exhibited his canvases in galleries and museums. He has also been featured in art and lifestyle magazines throughout the United States, Japan and Europe.

Cre8 is just one of the many artists that stand to make this art exhibition one of the best in the LA art scene. Plan to attend the Paint Factory Art Exhibition at ALTA Lofts and bid on the works of Cre8 and other revered LA street artists.

Spread the word. The mural for the Paint Factory exhibition on March 12^th at ALTA Lofts is up in Hollywood.

The mural was painted by AXIS, a contemporary illustrator/painter who emerged from Los Angeles’ seminal street scene in the late 1980’s. He is most noted for his hyper-stylized street art and canvas paintings, which have appeared in L.A., Austin, Seattle, Baltimore, Tokyo, and Berlin. By the mid-90’s he had cemented his reputation as one of the most prolific artists working in Los Angeles. In recent years, his art has moved from the streets and onto the pages of Get On, Juxtapox and the L.A. Times.

AXIS will be a featured artist at Paint Factory along with many other renowned artists. This is just a sample of some of the amazing, cutting-edge graffiti art that will be featured at the Paint Factory exhibition.
