Living the High Life at ALTA Lofts
Thomas Kurosu and his wife, Satomi, are loving life in their expansive, light-filled penthouse at ALTA Lofts. And, for many good reasons.
In March of this year, Thomas accepted a position with Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena, and they brought him out from Boston to begin house-hunting. ALTA Lofts was conveniently located, so it was one of the first places he visited. Unfortunately, Thomas’ first choice, a two-story, 2,000 square foot penthouse, was already sold and in escrow.
“This loft had the space, the style and was in a great location,” recalls Thomas. “We were disappointed, but continued searching.”
Anxious to get settled and be close to work, Thomas decided to purchase a loft in downtown LA, which was in the pre-construction stage. While staying in a hotel, he learned that the development was delayed, and it would be some time before it would be completed.
“Sometimes things happen for a reason,” says Thomas. “We started house-hunting again, and re-visited ALTA Lofts. It turns out that our dream loft fell out of escrow, was back on the market, and the price had been lowered. The other loft, still under construction, was half the size for the same price. This was indeed great luck!”
Thomas and Satomi settled into their new penthouse Labor Day weekend. While unpacking, the couple was able to truly appreciate their grand views of the city and Dodger Stadium. They also reflected about the tremendous value of their new loft as well as the proximity to so much.
“You could say we’re really living on top of the world,” Thomas states.
